Removal of Benign Conjunctival Naevus by Argon Laser Photocoagulation compared to Surgical Excision

Background: Conjunctival naevus is a widespread benign eye tumor. Surgical excision or argon laser photocoagulation are treatment choices for superficial and deep conjunctival naevi. Purpose: To compare between surgical photoablation of concerning safety, efficacy post removal complications. Patients & Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted in Ophthalmology Department, Al-Azhar University Hospitals, Egypt the period from January 2022 till 2023 included 40 patients presenting with pigmented naevi formed two groups; Group (1) 20 by done while group (2) done. Results: As regard to complications, recurrence occurred only, dry higher ablation than (15% vs 5%), inflammation (20% 10%) scaring only. Unsatisfaction ablation. Also, there statistically significant difference both groups as Conclusion: Argon simple efficient may be used chosen instead traditional technique.
